Terms of Service
Effective 2026-11-06 · Read before using LangKit or purchasing a subscription.
1. Agreement
These terms govern access to LangKit, a hosted translation and localization platform. By creating an account, using the API, purchasing credits or starting a subscription you agree to these terms and any clearly presented order terms. The person creating an organization account represents that they have authority to act for that organization.
2. Accounts
You must supply accurate contact details, protect sign-in codes and API credentials, assign appropriate access rights and promptly notify us of unauthorized activity. You are responsible for activity performed by users and integrations you authorize, subject to applicable law.
3. Projects and acceptable use
You retain your rights in content you upload. You grant the operator and necessary subprocessors a limited permission to store, process, transform, transmit and display that content only to provide the service. Do not upload content that violates laws, privacy rights, intellectual-property rights or contracts, or attempt to compromise the service or other users.
4. Machine translation
Automated and AI-generated translations can contain mistakes or unsafe interpretations. You are responsible for human review where accuracy is important, particularly for legal, medical, financial, safety-related or regulated material. The platform’s quality checks are aids, not guarantees.
5. Plans and usage limits
Free and paid plans may apply limits to translated strings, automated API jobs, language resources, contributors or AI usage. The account and billing screens describe the active plan and its limits. Additional usage may require an upgrade or a separately purchased token balance. We do not silently charge for exceeding a quota.
6. AI subscription and recurring billing
If offered, the AI subscription is $69 USD per month or the annual price displayed at checkout, before applicable taxes. Recurring card subscriptions automatically renew at the displayed interval until cancelled. Included AI token allowances reset at the start of each UTC calendar month, not on your subscription anniversary. Purchased unused token balances remain separate. AI token usage is calculated from provider-reported input and output token counts. Payment terms and the next renewal date must be visible before payment.
7. Unsuccessful renewals and grace period
When a subscription renewal fails, the account remains accessible for up to 15 calendar days while the payment provider may retry collection on an existing authorized recurring mandate. We notify the account holder about the unpaid invoice, payment attempts and grace status. The grace period does not itself impose a new charge or undisclosed debt. If payment remains unresolved, paid-only functions may be paused, but account access and existing project data remain available.
8. Crypto payments
Crypto purchases are offered only when enabled. Conversion rates, network fees and confirmation requirements are shown through the applicable payment provider. Ordinary wallet transfers do not authorize recurring deductions. Crypto subscriptions renew automatically only if you expressly approve a supported recurring payment arrangement.
9. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel automatic renewal through the available billing controls. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period unless the checkout terms or law provide otherwise. Contact support about duplicate charges, non-delivery and refund requests. Mandatory consumer rights are not waived by these terms.
10. Availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not promise zero downtime or perfect translations. We may modify features, fix vulnerabilities or impose proportionate technical limits. Material adverse changes to paid terms will be communicated in advance where required.
11. API and integrations
Use project-scoped API tokens only for authorized projects. You must implement retries and access controls responsibly, respect rate limits and protect credentials. Live publication or webhooks can reach systems outside LangKit’s control, and integrations must be correctly configured to receive updates.
12. Intellectual property
Except for your content and open-source components used under their licences, the platform interface, software, branding and documentation belong to their respective owners and licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership of the platform.
13. Suspension and termination
We may restrict abusive or unlawful activity to protect service integrity, following applicable notice requirements. We do not terminate an account solely because a subscription expires; unpaid plans may lose paid features after their disclosed grace period. You may request project export or account closure subject to security and retention requirements.
14. Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided without guarantees of uninterrupted availability or translation accuracy. Nothing in these terms excludes liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer or statutory rights.
15. Governing law and contact
Applicable governing law and dispute procedures depend on the verified legal operator and customer location. The operator must publish its legal identity, address and contact details before these terms are used as final commercial terms. Questions and legal notices may be sent using the contact details below.
