Cookies and Local Storage
Effective 2026-11-06 · Read before using LangKit or purchasing a subscription.
1. Scope
This statement explains essential browser storage used by LangKit, including secure session cookies and device preferences.
2. Sign-in session
LangKit sets a session cookie after successful login so the service can recognize authenticated requests. This cookie is essential to deliver the account and editor. It is scoped to the service, with security attributes used on HTTPS connections.
3. Theme preference
LangKit stores your selected light, dark or system appearance setting in your account when signed in, and uses browser local storage for first-render and sign-in appearance. The setting does not contain personal translation content and is not used for advertising. You can change it at any time from Account → Appearance.
4. Other providers
If you leave the site to pay using Stripe or NOWPayments, the payment provider may use its own browser storage according to its separate privacy notice. We do not claim that third-party websites use the same cookie settings as LangKit.
5. Analytics and marketing
This release does not require marketing cookies for the basic editor. If optional analytics or advertising technology is later added, its use and any consent choices must be disclosed before activation.
6. Managing storage
You can remove local-storage preferences or cookies using your browser controls. Clearing session cookies will sign you out. Blocking essential session cookies may prevent account functions from working.
